Get inspired at this November’s NY Tech Meetup at the 92nd Street Y

Posted on October 18, 2011

The New York tech scene hosts some of the most interesting and exciting tech start–ups in the world. According to PriceWaterhouse Coopers “MoneyTree Report 2011,” venture capital (VC) funds have been flowing into New York’s tech ecosystem — on average, $600 million per year from 2007–2010. (What recession?!) Not surprisingly, many established & aspiring tech entrepreneurs and tech VC firms flock to the monthly NY Tech Meetup to see cutting–edge tech demos, to get inspired, and to get in the game.

If you’re a regular attendee of the NY Tech Meetup, the November meetup will not be at the usual venue (Skirball Center of the Performing Arts at New York University), nor will it be on the usually weeknight (Tuesday night). The next meetup will be on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7 p.m. at the 92nd Street Y (on Lexington Avenue & 92nd Street in Manhattan).

Free Parking Tip

If you’re driving in, it will be difficult to find vacant alternate side free parking. Your best bet would be to arrive in the neighborhood no later than 6:30 p.m. and look for meter parking along Lexington Avenue or 3rd Avenue. Meter parking is free after 7 p.m. and it will only cost you $1.50 ($0.50 per 10 minutes… yes… ridiculous!). If you’re planning to arrive early, keep in mind that there is a one hour meter parking limit when it’s in effect (again… ridiculous!).
